Calic Bagel sits in the heart of Koreatown, Los Angeles, offering a fresh take on the classic bagel shop experience. More than just a grab-and-go spot, it blends the casual vibe of a cafe with the satisfying heft of a breakfast and sandwich joint. Locals swing by most mornings to enjoy their unique bagel varieties, which range from everything bagels to their signature garlic options, often paired with inventive cream cheese schmears or specialty butters like gochujang-infused blends.

The atmosphere here is light and approachable, with a small but bustling storefront that feels comfortable even during weekday rushes. A user-friendly kiosk streamlines ordering, making it easy to try several different bagel and sandwich combinations without a long wait. Street parking and nearby underground lots make it accessible whether you’re stopping by on foot, bike, or car.

Fans of savory flavors will appreciate items like the L.A. Lox—stacked with smoked salmon, pickled vegetables, and fried capers—that come recommended on the sesame or everything bagel for added texture. For those looking to indulge beyond bagels, the shop also offers playful twists like pizza bagels and garlic rolls, which bring a bit of fun to their lineup. On the beverage side, coffee and tea are solid companions, but some also lean into the shop’s quirky banana matcha drink or natural wine selections available by the glass, reflecting the eclectic tastes of its K-Town clientele.

You'll find a mix of locals — from Koreatown professionals grabbing a quick, flavorful breakfast to visitors drawn by social media buzz — creating a gentle hum of fresh conversation and efficient service. The vibe is casual yet focused on quality, making it a good spot to start your day or pause mid-morning for a bite that balances comfort with distinctive flavor. Weekday mornings are particularly lively, but the setup feels welcoming anytime you’re craving a bagel experience that veers from the standard deli fare.

In sum, Calic Bagel fits smoothly into LA’s patchwork of culinary spots where traditional meets inventive, and where bagels are more than just bread — they’re a canvas for bold, local flavor.

The place has street parking and lots of underground parking. A good amount of people on a Wednesday morning. Ordering was through a user-friendly Kiosk. I ordered the L.A. Lox and a 12oz OJ. Lox included smoked salmon, red onions, tomato, cucumbers, dill, fried capers, and cream cheese. They recommend the sesame bagel but I went with the everything bagel. The Lox was good but I would not order the OJ again. They have seating inside and outside. Restroom available. Would come back to try other items and their coffee. Good spot.

Bagels were amazing ! Lots of flavor and soft easy to pull apart and creamy the cream cheese is very tasty I picked about 3 different ones to try and they were all good. Cute shop. I was in LA for a morning appointment and very happy I found this place, worth the drive from Long Beach to try them again I will def be back. I also tried their banana matcha iced drink and it was tasty too.

These are definitely some of the top bagels in LA. A rather simple concept but a perfect execution, "stuffed" bagels in a sense that can be pulled apart! Staff is super friendly and helpful for any questions. I ordered the banana matcha and sadly wasn't a fan. The banana cream wasn't strong enough and the matcha was pretty watered down because of all the ice. But the bagel was amazing! Crispy on the outide with a soft fluffy interior. The bacon cream cheese is so savory and umami and delicious! You really get amazing flavor throughout the bagel thanks to the copious amount of schmear!

This place definitely lives up to the hype it gets on social media! We got the elote calic and the signature calic, and they were amazing! So filling that we were able to bring a few bites back home with us to eat later :) the matchas were the perfect consistency with delicious creams tops that weren’t overly sweet! Definitely recommend!

This is a rare TikTok find that actually lives up to the hype. I really enjoyed the banana Matcha and the garlic stuffed bagel with cream cheese. Absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back for more to try the habanero one!

Popular spot for stuffed bagels. Came here for brunch with a couple of friends and ordered the garlic cream cheese bagel and a matcha latte. They had samples of their plain bagel to try at the counter which was nice. The bagel was filling and tasty, but it got a tad salty after a while. The matcha was fine. You order at the counter and pay first, then they call your name. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. I found street parking but there is garage parking. Credit cards accepted.

The staff here is friendly and welcoming. Even though I order to take, I always end up enjoying my food on site. Enjoy the laid back atmosphere. Every time I'm in this side of town I make it a point to stop and grab myself a bagel. Today, I went with the LA Lox. Definitely one of my favorites. Along side my match drink, left feeling content. You guys know how to deliver Excellence every single time. Thank you!! Loyal bagel fan

Service and atmosphere outside is really nice. The food idea is good, it's soft bagels stuffed with various things. I wanted the pizza one without the pork, but unfortunately it's pre made with the dough. So I got the classic garlic one, and it's STRONG.
